Last year my mom got each of the kids an ornament that was the first letter of their name. They are made out of glass, sparkly and beautiful. Well, I liked them so much that I went to get the rest of the letters to complete their names. Now they are the highlight of the tree.
Totally not planned that Evan's 4 year old picture was placed next to his name. Super cute!
I used this special fabric that can go in your computer printer and voila! I used embroidery thread in the same color as the ink and stitched each name on. I'm pretty proud of myself and Daddy is happy his family has stockings hung on the stairwell with care with hopes that St. Nicholas soon will be there...

This is sad...Tim and I were married for over 10 years and we didn't have stockings the entire time :(

I love Christmas stockings! Every year as I hang up ours, it makes me stop and take a moment to be truly thankful for each one!
