By the way...

That test Tim was a little weary of...he got a 93%. Silly rabbit! He also had a big project due the same time. He got a perfect-score 60 out of 60. Way to go super dad!

Friendship day

Today was friendship day in Lila's class. I brought fun balloons and bubbles for decorations. Moms brought cupcakes, cookies, crackers, fruit and juice for a special treat. We played outside and made a special craft project.

The projects were heart cards for our beloved principal Mrs. Rossman. Today is her birthday and the children wanted to surprise her with them down in her office. They we suppose to write "We love you, Mrs. Rossman", but Lila had another idea, "Happy birthday". Her teacher thought it was great and added it as another option and wrote in on the white board for the kids to copy. Way to go Lila!

Mrs. Rossman was thrilled. She asked each child if she could give them a hug. I think the kiddos were even more thrilled. They look up to her and adore her so much. We are very blessed to have such a loving and caring staff at Lila's school.

Mom Test

This was a forwarded email that I thought was cute!

I was out walking with my 4 year old son. He picked up something off the ground and started to put it in his mouth. I took the item away from him and I asked him not to do that. 'Why?' my son asked. 'Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty, and probably has germs,' I replied. At this point, my son looked at me with total admiration and asked, 'Momma, how do you know all this stuff, you are so smart.' I was thinking quickly. 'All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mom Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mom.' We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but he was evidently pondering this new information. 'OH...I get it!' he beamed,'So if you don't pass the test you have to be the dad.' 'Exactly,' I replied back with a big smile on my face.

We're so proud of our Daddy!

Tim had a big test at school today. We said a special prayer for him-he was a little nervous about this one-don't tell him I told you. (I'm sure he did a great job!) For those of you who didn't know, Tim went back to school to get his degree. This was a decision 6 years in the making. With working full time and Lila in school only 1/2 days since she was 2 there hasn't been time. Well, now that Lila is in full day kindergarden time has allowed and Tim is succeeding marvelously. Up to date he has an A average...insert Evan groaning here. We couldn't be prouder. We appreciate you, honey! I know I couldn't work 40+ hours a week and go to school too. You're the hardest working daddy we know!

These picture were the first day of school. Lila wanted to go "all by herself with her baby". All by herself meant Mom & Dad about six feet back.

Our little cheese ball...not Kaukauna...Gracie!

Daddy can we go to the park PLEEEEAAASE???

Uncle D. gave Lila a Hello Kitty scooter for her birthday and Sunday was a beautifully sunny day, so off to the park Daddy and his little girl went. There is a bike path that encircles the entire park. Perfect for scoot, scoot, scooting. Lila can't wait to ride scooters with her cousin Abby! She's been practicing lots! Taking a break from the scooter to play in the dirt. Can't tell this girl has a brother. Someone went right in the tub when she got home.

That sure is one big guitar...

While @ the IMAX Evan took in all the sights.

Gettin' his flirt on with the guitar display lady. Rockin' the U2 shirt...

"How you doin'?"
I don't think she fell for it. Good try buddy.

What a fun Saturday...

Tim, Evan, our friend Jack and I went to the IMAX theater and saw U23D. If you like U2 even a little bit it is so worth going! Don't wait too long. It's a Beautiful Day!

Jesus sent Lila a Valentine's...

It was very cold this morning. Frost was on all of the roof tops. Lila came into the kitchen to wash her hands and said, "Look Mama my name is on Kyle's roof!". Quite perplexed, I looked out the window and the only word to describe what I saw was UNREAL! The frost was almost gone except for a few patches. And the few patches that were left indeed took on the shape of our little girl's name. She giggled and told us Jesus wrote her name up there. He sure did Lila-Happy Valentine's Day sweet girl!

Spring is in the air...

My step-mom, Julie, mentioned garden shopping the other day. What she didn't know was- that very day, I had been to Watson's for their annual primrose weekend sale with my Aunt Annmarie and Grandma Lila. 12 primroses and a fresh, pretty, pink pair of new gardening gloves later, I anxiously await the next dry day. Lila Grace is the best gardening assistant. She is an excellent dead-header and digs the perfect holes for our new blossoms. Her most favorite part of gardening is the end when she gets to water. That leaves Mom for the cleaning up! *The first picture is of a swallow tail butterfly on our butterfly bush. It is planted where we can see it out our kitchen window. Once in a special while we get treated to humming birds as well. We are so blessed by all of God's glorious creatures!

We heard this is what people who like to brag on their kids do. Set up blogs with the hope of keeping the interests of their friends and family. I'm the goofy girl who gets really excited about something that most would find mediocre. Hopefully, I can keep things rolling and you will want to visit once a week or so. Welcome to a day in the life of the Tim Miller family.
